Hi all –
Tom here with the most recent update.
As mentioned in the last update, the fact that a genetic mutation being identified is a positive development.
I have been on the oral chemotherapy for a bit over 30 days at this point.
After about 3 weeks, we did a blood draw to perform some testing.
The purpose of this testing is to check to see that I am tolerating the medication well.
A few days ago, we got the results back and had a call with the Oncologist to discuss.
All of my results were in the green, and within normal ranges.
In addition, I still have seen not impact or side effects – all good news!
The next step is to see how effective the medication is in reducing the cancer.
I am scheduled for a CT Scan on April 30th, and a follow up appointment with the oncologist on May 4th to review.
The specific thing we’re looking for is that the cancer lesions are reduced in size.
Actually, since we’re submitting prayer requests, lets just ask that they are completely gone!
At this point, that is the only additional specific prayer request we would have you to ask the Father for.
My health and attitude continue to be very positive.
I continue to exercise and the doc says that my immune system will not be compromised by the medication.
We’re extremely grateful for the current status and for all of your support and prayers.
We will let you all know when we have the results of the Scan.
You can expect an update then.
Thanks so much for your love and support,
Prior updates are below, if you’re new to the team/distro
